About the Course
QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer – the 3 simple steps anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide. This training helps individuals to understand and recognize a mental health crisis. By learning QPR, you will come to recognize the warning signs, clues and suicidal communications of people in trouble and gain the skills to act vigorously to prevent a possible tragedy. QPR is not a form of counseling or treatment. Rather it is intended to offer hope through positive action. Just as people trained in CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to receive help.
Course Objectives
