Join the Victory for Veterans team for an easy 3.3-mile hike, which will start at the State Game Lands trailhead #141 in Jim Thorpe. We will hike out to Tank Hollow, which offers spectacular views of the Lehigh River as it turns into the Lehigh Gorge. At Tank Hollow, we will rest, eat lunch, talk, and enjoy the views.

Hike Details

  • Open to all veterans – participants will be required to sign a waiver
  • Trail rated as easy – flat terrain except for one small hill. Participants should be able to comfortably walk 3.5 miles on flat terrain.
  • Hike will take approximately 2.5 hours, including 30-minute stop for lunch at Tank Hollow

What to Wear/Bring

  • Sturdy footwear; no sandals or open-toed shoes
  • Backpack with lunch and/or snacks
  • Camera or cell phone to take pictures
  • Any necessary medication or personal items
