Mental Health First Aid teaches you how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health or substance use challenges.

In this evidence‑based course, you will learn the unique risk factors and warning signs of mental health problems, the importance of early detection, and how to help someone experiencing a mental health or substance use emergency.

All participants will need to complete a 2‑hour self‑paced online course prior to the 6.5‑hour instructor‑led training.

Certification is valid for 3 years.

This training is sponsored by the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services.
