Outpatient Options

Our outpatient programs can help you begin or continue your recovery journey.

Outpatient Counseling

Our general outpatient program addresses the abuse of alcohol and/or drugs.

Treatment includes individual, family, and group counseling and can include care for mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, mood disorders, trauma, and others.

The first few sessions are used to gather information about the client’s current situation, life history, and personal strengths.

The client will meet alone with one counselor. We may request contact with others (e.g., family, employer, school) but only with the client’s permission. No information is released to anyone without written approval.

We encourage family members and loved ones to be a part of treatment. Click here to learn about our programs for families.

We will provide the client with treatment recommendations that will be unique to his/her concerns and goals.

Support groups are often recommended in addition to individual and family counseling. We highly recommend 12-step and self-help groups, which are often vital to treatment success.

Outpatient Groups

For individuals engaged in treatment at St. Luke’s Penn Foundation, we offer various outpatient groups to complement the care that we provide. Individuals who participate in groups often feel a high level of validation because they realize that they are not alone. A group environment fosters opportunities for emotional support, compassion and understanding, and encouragement from others who are experiencing the same things you are. You have the chance to learn from other group members as well as to help your peers.

For more information about our group enhancement opportunities, please contact Jen Lorish at Jennifer.Lorish@sluhn.org.
