Continuing Education

Education and training are at the heart of our Pastoral Services Department. We coordinate a number of pastoral education, training, supervision, and coaching programs throughout the year.

They include:

It will cover such topics as pastoral identity and conversation, pastoral diagnosis and planning, grief and loss, aging, the use of prayer in a pastoral visit, and self-care. To register, please contact Rev. Sue Conrad Howes at 215-453-5194 or Susan.Howes@sluhn.org.

This workshop is for church workers who graduated from the basic pastoral skills course. This workshop is conducted every other fall, covering such topics as crisis ministry and sudden traumatic loss. There is no fee.
