Recovery Center Awarded Fifth Consecutive Three-Year Accreditation by CARF International
Penn Foundation’s John W. and Emily Clemens Recovery Center has been accredited by CARF International (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) for a period of three years for its inpatient drug and alcohol programs:
- Detoxification/Withdrawal Support: Integrated: Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD)/Mental Health (Adults)
- Inpatient Treatment: Integrated: Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD)/Mental Health (Adults)
The latest accreditation is the fifth consecutive Three-Year Accreditation that the international accrediting body has awarded to Penn Foundation’s Recovery Center.
“We are honored to receive full Accreditation from CARF, one of the premier health care quality improvement and accrediting bodies in the nation. In receiving this accreditation, the Recovery Center has demonstrated its commitment to the highest level of care to the people we serve battling the disease of addiction,” says Marianne Gilson, Penn Foundation Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.
This accreditation decision represents the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization and shows Penn Foundation’s substantial conformance to the CARF standards. An organization receiving a Three-Year Accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer review process and had demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit that its programs and services are of the highest quality, measurable and accountable.
CARF is an independent, nonprofit accrediting body whose mission is to promote quality, value, and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process that centers on enhancing the lives of the persons served. Founded in 1966 as the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities and now known as CARF, the accrediting body establishes consumer-focused standards to help organizations measure and improve the quality of their programs and service.
