Lisa Dembrosky, CPRP, Operations Coordinator at Penn Foundation’s Wellspring Clubhouse, Named to Clubhouse International Faculty

Lisa Dembrosky, CPRP, Operations Coordinator at Penn Foundation’s Wellspring Clubhouse, has been named to the Clubhouse International Faculty. This means that Dembrosky has the opportunity to be a part of the accreditation process for clubhouses all over the world. She recently participated in her first accreditation for Harbor House, a clubhouse in Rhode Island.

“It has been a long time dream of mine to be faculty member, and I am thrilled to be a part of Clubhouse International,” says Dembrosky, who has worked at Wellspring Clubhouse for over 20 years. “I hope that by visiting clubhouses around the world, I can bring back ideas that will make Wellspring Clubhouse even stronger.”

Founded in 1994, Penn Foundation’s Wellspring Clubhouse is a voluntary rehabilitation program based on the original “Clubhouse Model” developed by Fountain House in New York City in 1948. The purpose of the Clubhouse is to promote recovery and instill hope among members with mental health and/or co-occurring substance use challenges. The Clubhouse Model features member leadership and involvement in all aspects of the program. Members work side-by-side with staff as colleagues to run the program, to learn or teach skills, and to offer support and resources needed to achieve a satisfying and improved quality of life in the community.
