Assistant IT Administrator

Position Overview

Help manage Windows servers and PCs, the migration to Office 365 and Azure, a VoIP phone system, several security camera systems, and an electronic health record system for a 400-plus employee, multi-office company.

Hours: Full-time

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Installing and maintaining physical and Hyper-V Windows servers
  • Maintaining Active Directory, DHCP and DNS
  • Maintaining Exchange
  • Migrating to Office 365 and Azure
  • Maintaining a VoIP phone system
  • Maintaining security camera systems
  • Maintaining network switches and associated fiber, Ethernet and wireless components
  • Maintaining an electronic health record system
  • When necessary, providing PC support and working on helpdesk tickets
  • When necessary, working nights and weekends to rollout hardware and software, perform maintenance and fix problems
  • Purchasing hardware and software and maintaining licensing
  • Managing contractor and vendor relations
  • Developing solutions and providing recommendations to the meet the IT needs of a growing organization
  • Participating in budget decisions
  • Supervising IT techs

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft server and PC operating systems
  • Experience installing and maintaining physical servers and PCs, Hyper-V servers, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and Exchange
  • Experience working with Office 365 and Azure
  • While not required, experience working with HP switches, Ethernet and fiber, wireless access points, and/or the Credible electronic health record system a plus
  • Several years experience working with Windows servers and PCs and Exchange
  • Must have valid driver’s license and car and be wiling to drive to off-campus offices
  • Must be able to lift and carry typical office IT equipment, crawl under and around desks and climb a six-foot ladder
