The Hope Fund is a Capital Campaign to raise $10.5 million to improve Penn Foundation’s campus and capacity to deliver mental health and substance abuse services.
These funds will help build, renovate, and/or expand three Penn Foundation buildings:
Recovery Center – renovate and expand facility for individuals seeking treatment for alcohol and/or drug addiction. The building, currently 10,000 square feet, is being renovated and expanded by 13,500 square feet to provide two additional inpatient rooms (6 additional beds), a outpatient and community-based departments, and complete accessibility to both floors.
Wellspring Clubhouse – build a new 5,500 square foot Wellspring Clubhouse to deliver social, educational, and vocational rehabilitation program for adults recovering from mental illness. By more than doubling facility space, the Clubhouse will be able to increase overall program membership and accommodate a higher daily attendance (capacity will increase 50-75%). This effort is in collaboration with Rockhill Mennonite Community.
Main Building – renovate current 22,000 square feet and add 40,000 square feet to Main Building, which houses the Mental Health Outpatient program. Expansion will bring comprehensive Mental Health Outpatient and Intensive Psychiatric Rehabilitation services on campus, resulting in a more efficient, collaborative, and seamless delivery system for clients.
“Building now is critical. By expanding and renovating our buildings, we will alleviate present over-crowding and be equipped to operate more efficiently and effectively as the region grows,” explains Carol Detweiler Washko, Director of Advancement, Penn Foundation. “By 2030, we anticipate serving more than 12,000 persons annually – a 40% projected increase based on the region’s estimated population growth.”
By giving generously to the Hope Fund, your support will be seen not only in the bricks and mortar of buildings but more importantly in the hopeful faces and renewed spirits of those who come to Penn Foundation to rebuild their lives.
